The Opportunity

KW&SC is looking for talented operations engineers to join as Deputy Managers (Operations). Successful candidates will manage water and sewerage services and serve as the primary focal person at the Town and Division level, working to improve service delivery standards, strengthen coordination at the municipal level, and engage community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical input in preparation of operational plans and implementation methods
Supervise day-to-day water supply and sewerage service delivery, including monitoring pipe network operations
Oversee maintenance of the existing pipe network, with focus on weak segments and faulty components
Digitalize current data on the portal and share it with planners/reform managers to improve service profiles
Assess capacity and operational betterment based on digital portal reports, sharing findings with Manager Town
Collect and transfer data via the IT Portal and prepare operational reports for resource arrangement
Coordinate with KW&SC engineers on public dealing, complaints, and meetings with stakeholders and institutions
Ensure tasks are completed within fixed milestones
Organize awareness campaigns on water conservation, hygiene, and complaint registration
Apply modern techniques and instruments for repair and maintenance works
Submit weekly action reports to the COO and monthly progress reports to the CEO, and maintain town-level dashboards on supply status, complaints, and R&M works

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in a relevant subject preferred)
Experience: 8–10 years minimum in water management, hydraulic structures, and sewerage-related planning and execution; prior experience with KW&SC, WASAs, or PHED services is mandatory
Demonstrated capability in designing water infrastructure and RCC designs
Sound knowledge of quality assurance engineering and quantity surveying

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Community mobilization and conflict-resolution capabilities
Familiarity with GIS, basic MS Excel, and mobile-based data collection

Contract Terms

The contract term is 3 years, extendable based on satisfactory performance. A market-based compensation package will be offered.
