IMPORTANT FACTS OF THE HINDU KUSH RANGE

1.       The Hindu Kush Range is a continuation of the Karakoram Range.

Note: The Himalayas are the highest mountain range, followed by the Karakoram and then the Hindu Kush.

Location: The Himalayas are primarily located in India and Nepal, while the Karakoram are located in Pakistan and China, and the Hindu Kush are located in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

2.       The Hindu Kush range extends westward into Afghanistan.

3.       In the north, the Hindu Kush range merges with the Pamir Plateau.

4.       The southern limit is considered the Kabul River, a tributary of the Indus River.

5.       Some peaks of the Hindu Kush range are higher than 7000 meters in altitude.

6.       The Hindu Kush Range guards the northwestern border of Pakistan.

7.       The highest peak of the Hindu Kush range is Tirich Mir at 7,788 meters.

8.   The second-highest peak in the Hindu Kush range is Noshaq at 7,485 meters.
